How to deal with the Blues Monday
Although it looks simple, if left unchecked, the Blues on Monday can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and mood-changing emotions or alternative mood. In addition, the Monday blues can also reduce productivity at work.
But don’t worry, because there are some easy ways that you can do to beat the two blues, namely:
- Enough sleep
Weekends are not a reason to stay up and not comfortable enough. Enough sleep on Sundays is a very important thing to do, as it will make you more enthusiastic on Monday.
- Create a list of fun things to do
Try to remember, it’s all fun that makes you a soul to work. For example, the latest news will be discussed with co-workers, a good food that will be consumed in the rest, or new office supplies that would make your office more vulnerable.
You can make a list of those fun things a few days ago and then reread them on Sunday evenings. It is useful to make your activity more emotional on Mondays.
- Exercise regularly
Exercise regularly for 30 minutes a day, or 150 minutes a week, is useful to make the mood become good and reduce the risk of stress. This is because the exercise can increase the levels of endorphins hormones, a hormone that can arouse the feelings of delight.
In addition to daily sports, you can go biking, swimming, or jogging with your family or friends on weekends, so that your athletes are more enjoyable.
- Consumption of nutritious food
Eating nutritious foods is also not less important in overcoming the Blues Monday, reducing the risk of depression, and making the mood become good. Some foods that can be an option to improve the mood are avocado, nuts, yogurt, tempe and dark chocolate.
If you have done the methods mentioned above but you still feel the Blues Monday, or if the two blues lasts long, and you feel to interfere in your activities, please do not hesitate to consult with a psychiatrist to solve them.
